Rangeland produces. Trek conquers. Sandbox builds.
Interstellar Sandbox is CowGalaxy’s third standalone game, now in public beta on Sepolia. Sign in with the same wallet and use the same cattle, planets, IRG and items: choose guild land or a constellation coordinate, place buildings, assign cattle to work or garrison, refine Trek ore, craft flagship modules and defend your planet. Buildings and costs are recorded on-chain; layout, timers and invasion settlement are handled by the game server.
How the three games connect
One herd and one wallet across three games: Rangeland produces, Trek conquers, Sandbox builds.
Rangeland → Sandbox → Rangeland — Donate ranch-earned IRG and Timber from your Lumber Mill to the guild planet Barn. Barn levels give every member +2% to +10% Milk Factory hashpower. The daily milk pool does not grow: the Barn only redistributes its share toward better-built planets.
Trek → Sandbox → Trek — Refine Trek ore into Alloy, then combine Alloy with parts 130–134 at the Shipyard. The Engine, Armor, Cabin, Navigation and Weapon Rack modules you craft are read from your wallet and take effect directly in Trek.
Trek → Sandbox → New land — Light a constellation in Trek, mint its transferable Coordinate NFT, and receive a 12×12 private plot in Sandbox. Each constellation adds a specific lumber, refining, shipyard or invasion bonus.
How it plays
Choose land, build, assign cattle, then collect and defend — the full loop is open.
Choose land — Enter your guild planet plot or a private Coordinate NFT plot unlocked from a constellation lit in Trek.
Build and contribute — Place personal buildings on the grid or donate to public buildings. Every accepted amount of IRG, Timber, Alloy, ore, parts, blueprints or lower-tier modules is burned on-chain.
Assign cattle — Owned, living adult cattle can work at a Lumber Mill or garrison a Defense Tower. One cow can hold only one Sandbox job at a time, but remains usable in Rangeland and Trek.
Collect, craft and defend — Collect Timber, refine ore into Alloy or recycle it for IRG, craft flagship modules, and join the guild-planet defenses settled at fixed hours every day.
Two kinds of land
Guild planet · shared construction — Home and Federation planets have a fixed public district with a Starport, Barn and Defense Tower, plus one 4×4 personal plot per member. Public buildings are funded together through on-chain donations. Frontier planets are not open for construction in this phase.
Coordinate NFT · private 12×12 plot — Mint one coordinate for each constellation you lit in Trek, up to five plots per address. Taurus gives +20% lumber, Aries +20% refining speed, Scorpius +10% Alloy, Orion −20% Shipyard time and Draco doubles invasion rewards. Coordinates are not invaded.
Six buildings you can build
Three public buildings belong to the guild planet; three personal buildings can be built once per plot.
Starport — Planet level and the level cap for the Barn and Defense Tower
Barn — +2% / +4% / +6% / +8% / +10% Milk Factory hashpower for every member; zero new issuance
Defense Tower — Planet defense and 1 / 1 / 2 / 2 / 3 garrison slots per member
Lumber Mill — Timber, the only new material introduced by Sandbox
Refinery — Alloy, or recycled IRG with a 2,000 IRG daily cap per address
Shipyard — Tier I–III flagship modules that take effect in Trek while held in your wallet
Public-building donations burn immediately and are recorded on-chain. Personal buildings currently use a fixed appearance.
In-game screens
Shipyard · craft flagship modules — 5 module types × 3 tiers at a glance; recipe needs and wallet balances update live, and ordering burns the materials on-chain.
Refinery · ore into alloy — Pick an ore, enter an amount and see the estimated output and duration; or recycle ore into IRG, up to 2,000 per address per day.
Guild planet · contribute to public buildings — Donate IRG, timber and alloy to the next-level pool of the Starport / Barn / Tower; construction starts automatically once full and every member shares the bonus.
Resources
Timber is the only new material introduced by the Sandbox; everything else comes from Rangeland and Trek and flows between the three games.
Cattle workers, invasions and the economy
Workers and guild-planet invasions — Guild planets are attacked at 12:00 and 20:00 (UTC+8). A planet with neither a Barn nor a Defense Tower has newcomer protection; Coordinate plots are never attacked.
Burns, conversion and trading — All IRG and materials spent on building, upgrading, refining and module crafting are burned on-chain. They do not enter a treasury and the server has no transfer permission.
Timber is the only new material. Alloy and modules transform existing ore, parts and blueprints; the Barn redistributes a fixed Milk Factory pool with zero issuance.
Timber, Alloy, modules and Coordinate NFTs are transferable and tradable. Building, refining, crafting modules, repelling invasions and collecting in Sandbox count toward the tenth Play XP dimension, Construction, capped at 10 XP a day like every other dimension.
Open the standalone game with the same wallet you use in Rangeland and Trek. No new account or new cattle are required. Beta assets do not migrate to mainnet; building, refining, crafting modules, repelling invasions and collecting in Sandbox count toward the Construction dimension of Play XP.
