v2.1 · 2026-10-26 · For players
This document answers three questions: what CowGalaxy is, what you do inside it and what you get for it, and how the XP you earn during the open beta turns into real assets on mainnet.
Status tags used below: [Live] available in the current open beta; [Rolling out] rules are final, pages and tracking are being switched on; [Mainnet design] takes effect with the mainnet contracts; final numbers are confirmed by official announcement before distribution.

1. One-page summary
CowGalaxy is a Web3 game universe powered by $IRT. Interstellar Rangeland is the production game: raise cattle, milk, breed, battle and run planet guilds. Interstellar Trek is the conquest game: take the same cattle aboard a flagship and clear 39 outposts across 5 constellations for ore, parts, blueprints and IRG. Interstellar Sandbox is the construction game: use the same wallet, cattle, planets and items to build, assign workers, refine ore, craft flagship modules and defend guild planets. All three standalone games are playable in the Sepolia public-beta environment, and Trek battles can also be handed to the official AI battle agent CowGalaxy Play, which fights for you from Telegram.
| Fact | Detail |
|---|---|
| Open beta | 2026-10-01 — 2026-12-31 (92 days), all three games playable on Sepolia, completely free; Sandbox play counts toward the Construction dimension of Play XP |
| Mainnet | 2027 Q2, Arbitrum first; Ethereum mainnet and the cross-chain bridge in Q3 (see roadmap) |
| Tokens | IRT: 1 billion total, fixed supply · IRG: consumable game currency, issued by demand quota |
| Tokens during beta | No tradable tokens are issued. Testnet TIRT / TIRG / cattle / planets do not migrate to mainnet |
| What you earn in beta | XP. Every real play session, every real player you bring in, every accepted bug report lands on the same XP ledger |
| What XP is worth | At mainnet launch, 30,000,000 IRT (3% of supply) + game items are airdropped by XP share, capped at 0.3% per address |
| The one rule that matters | XP only counts real behaviour. Scripts, alt accounts and same-network farming are removed as a whole cluster |
2. Lore: the herd that split
Before the ranches, there was the split.
Cattle civilisation began in Taurus. When the first ships left the home star, the herds parted ways over one question: what is a planet for?
The Galactic Empire said: a planet is a home. Build it, tax it, defend it, pass it on. Order, walls, a Guardian at the gate.
The Explorer Alliance said: a planet is a waypoint. Light the constellation, take what the outpost drops, jump again. Routes, not borders.
Neither side was wrong, so neither side won. What remains is the map you play on:
| Planet | Origin | In the game |
|---|---|---|
| Home planet | The Empire's old seats, where tax rights live | Population 10,000, 20% tax, can host 100 Federation planets, can enter Guild Battle |
| Federation planet | Founded under a Home; part of the tithe flows upward | Population 1,000, minted on approval by the Home leader |
| Frontier planet | New ground, handed out at events | Population 5,000, 10% tax, upgradeable to Home for about $500 in IRT |
Interstellar Rangeland is the Empire's half of the story: ranches, taxes, weekly guild battles. Interstellar Trek is the Alliance's half: the star map, the jump, the loot. It is now in open beta alongside the ranch. Interstellar Sandbox is where the two meet: conquered coordinates and the planets you hold become buildable land. Its first-phase loop (S1–S4) is live on Sepolia, and the S5 operations phase (planet map, mail, construction boosters) keeps shipping.
Same cattle, same token, two beliefs. These 92 days of open beta are the universe's "Pioneer Era" — every rancher present now is written into the Star Chronicle. That chronicle is XP.
3. One set of assets, three games
CowGalaxy is not three separate economies. One wallet, one herd, one IRT and one XP ledger power three standalone games — Rangeland produces, Trek conquers, Sandbox builds. What one game produces is what another game consumes.
3.1 The three games at a glance
| Interstellar Rangeland | Interstellar Trek | Interstellar Sandbox | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Status | [Live] open beta | [Live] open beta; battles can be delegated to the AI agent | [Live] Sepolia public beta (S1–S4 complete, S5 in operation) |
| What you do | Produce: raise, milk, fight, guild battles | Conquer: push the star map, clear outposts, light up constellations | Build: choose land, construct, assign cattle, refine, craft, defend |
| Spend | IRG on items; IRT on breeding / star-up / slots / tech | IRG on fuel and flagship upgrades (plus burned ship parts) | IRG, Timber, ore, Alloy, parts, blueprints and lower-tier modules — all burned on-chain; construction boosters are bought with IRT and burned too |
| Earn | IRT, IRG, cattle, mystery boxes | IRG, ore, sector fragments, ship parts, blueprints | Barn hashpower share, Timber, Alloy, flagship modules, Coordinate NFT land and IRG from ore recycling |
| Role of planets | Guild container, taxation | — | Land |
3.2 One set of assets, three uses
| Asset | Interstellar Rangeland | Interstellar Trek | Interstellar Sandbox |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cattle | Raise, milk, fight, breed | Crew: any living adult cow on-chain fights with its ranch attack, defense and HP | Workers: staff the Lumber Mill or a garrison; one cow holds one Sandbox job and is never locked out of the ranch or Trek |
| Planets | Guild container and tax rights | — | Home / Federation planets are guild land, with a 12×12 personal plot per member, each occupying one cell on the planet map |
| IRG | Hay and other items, breeding | Fuel, flagship upgrades | Building, upgrades, refining, module crafting; ore can be recycled back into IRG |
| IRT | Breeding, star-up, slots, tech | — | Construction boosters (100 IRT each, burned on purchase and on use) |
| ERC-1155 items | Hay, EXP cards, STR batteries, HP potions | Drops ore, parts and blueprints | Consumes ore, parts and blueprints; produces Timber, Alloy and flagship modules |
| Play XP | The first 8 dimensions (Milk, Arena …) | Expedition dimension | Construction dimension |
3.3 How assets flow between the games
| From | Output | Goes to |
|---|---|---|
| Interstellar Rangeland | Living adult cattle | Crew for Trek battles; workers for Sandbox lumber and garrisons |
| Interstellar Rangeland | Home / Federation planets | Guild planet land in Sandbox |
| Interstellar Trek | Ore, parts, blueprints | Refined into Alloy or recycled into IRG at the Refinery (≤ 2,000 per address per day); Shipyard flagship modules |
| Interstellar Trek | A lit constellation | Mint a Coordinate NFT that opens a private 12×12 plot in Sandbox |
| Interstellar Sandbox | Flagship modules | Take effect on your Trek flagship while held in the wallet |
| Interstellar Sandbox | Barn level | +2% to +10% Milk Factory hashpower for every planet member (share redistribution, zero issuance) |
Whichever game you start with, the cattle, items and XP you build up are never trapped inside that one game.
4. How the three games play
All three games use the same wallet login, are free throughout the open beta and run on the Sepolia testnet.
4.1 Interstellar Rangeland
Play at ranch.cowgalaxy.com · Status [Live] open beta · What you do Produce: raise, milk, fight, guild battles
Seven steps to start
- Connect wallet → sign (no gas)
- On the portal, "Claim Beta Assets" → Starter Pack (once per wallet, delivered in three transactions): Home planet card ×1, Genesis cattle ×1, adult bull and cow ×1 each, calf ×1, cattle mystery box ×1, hay ×10 per tier, EXP cards / STR batteries ×3 per tier, HP potions ×1 per tier, TIRT 2,000, TIRG 20,000
- Enter the game and bind a planet (or found your own guild with the Home card)
- Put cattle in the CowShed and feed hay; a calf matures at 30,000 growth, two days at the fastest
- Cows → stake in the Milk Factory to mine IRT; bulls → card battles in the Arena for IRG / IRT
- Breed for mystery boxes, star up, research the tech tree, expand slots
- Weekly Guild Battle, claim tax benefits; swap cattle on the NFT marketplace
Every 24 hours you can also claim the Daily Pack (hay ×10 per tier, STR batteries ×2 per tier, TIRG 2,000) — consumables only, no NFTs or TIRT; requires "entered the game + completed at least one quest".
The life of a cow
| Genesis cattle | Normal cattle | |
|---|---|---|
| Lifespan | Eternal | 35 days × Life ÷ 10000 ≈ 14–28 days, burned on expiry |
| Effective stats | 100% | By star: 0★ 25% / 1★ 40% / 2★ 60% / 3★ 80% |
| Breeding | 5 times + Breed Cards | Up to 5 times |
| Trading | Free transfer and trade | Only calves can be listed; non-transferable once adult |
| Life extension | Not needed | HP potions up to +10 days total; star-up resets lifespan |
Normal cattle die — that is not a bug, it is the largest sink in the economy: restocking requires breeding, and breeding burns IRT + IRG.
Ranch Milk, Arena, Breeding, Raising, Research, Guild, Quests and Trading are the first 8 Play XP dimensions (see section 5.3).
4.2 Interstellar Trek
Play at trek.cowgalaxy.com · Status [Live] open beta · What you do Conquer: push the star map, clear outposts, light up constellations
Log in to trek.cowgalaxy.com with the same wallet you use on the ranch; no new cows needed. Any living adult cow on-chain can fight, with the attack, defense and HP it has on the ranch.
- Pick an outpost: the star map is one draggable, zoomable galaxy map — Taurus → Aries → Scorpius → Orion → Draco, 39 outposts across 5 constellations, unlocked one by one along the route (at least 1 star on the previous one)
- Launch: each sortie costs fuel (12 – 28 per constellation, double for bosses); fuel regenerates 1 point every 14.4 minutes (about 100 / day) and can be bought with IRG (50 fuel = 1,000 IRG, up to 1,000 per day). Fuel is not refunded on a loss
- Fight: the same turn-based card combat as the Arena, with a squad of 1 – 3 cows under your control, each with its own spirit and hand; alien monsters bring 15 exclusive skill cards
- Three stars: win ★, win within the turn limit ★ (6 normal / 9 boss), no cow lost ★; more stars raise the ore and IRG drop cap (×1.6 at 3 stars)
- Loot: every win drops ore and IRG, with chances of sector fragments, ship parts and blueprints; fragments arrive instantly, the rest is claimed from the Reward Center with one on-chain transaction
- Light up a constellation: beat its boss with at least 1 star and collect its fragments (20 / 18 / 16 / 14 / 12) to light it up and open the next one
- Upgrade the flagship: Lv2 = 10 parts + 5,000 IRG, Lv3 = 30 parts + 20,000 IRG; squad size 1 → 2 → 3, fuel cap 100 → 130 → 160
- Summon the AI: in the portal profile page "Agent Authorization", bind your Telegram and create an agent key that can only fight; then open the official bot CowGalaxy Play (@CowGalaxyPlayBot), pick an outpost and a squad, and the AI plays each turn for you, streaming the battle as images and sending a report with drops at the end. Fuel cost, stars and drops are exactly the same as fighting yourself; the agent cannot claim rewards, handle mail, upgrade the flagship or send any on-chain transaction. Keys can carry a daily run limit, can be revoked at any time, and can also be given to your own third-party agent
The avatar at the top left opens your Trek Profile (flagship and modules, total-star ranking, sorties / wins / bosses and lifetime drops); the envelope in the HUD is your mailbox — fuel and fragments from operations mail land directly, while ore / parts / blueprints / IRG go to the Reward Center for a single claim. Trek ore, parts and blueprints are ERC-1155 items on Cattle1155 (ids 110–134) that can be transferred, traded or used now in Interstellar Sandbox. Sector fragments are tracked in game. Trek battle wins and first outpost clears count toward the Expedition dimension of play XP (see section 5.3); wins fought by the AI agent count the same way.
4.3 Interstellar Sandbox
Play at sandbox.cowgalaxy.com · Status [Live] Sepolia public beta (S1–S4 complete, S5 in operation) · What you do Build: choose land, construct, assign cattle, refine, craft, defend
Enter sandbox.cowgalaxy.com with the same wallet. It is a standalone game with two kinds of land:
- Guild planet land: Home and Federation planets have a public Starport, Barn and Defense Tower, plus one 12×12 personal plot per member. The "Planet" button opens the planet map: the central 3×3 is the public zone, every plot occupies one cell, and you can drag, zoom, jump to coordinates and visit other members' plots (read-only). Public buildings are upgraded by member donations; leaving the planet freezes your plot (it thaws automatically when you rejoin the same planet; after 30 days frozen it is soft-recycled, buildings kept); Frontier planets are not open for construction in phase one
- Coordinate NFT land: lighting a Trek constellation lets you mint one transferable coordinate for that constellation and opens a private 12×12 plot — one per constellation per address, up to five. Coordinate land can be moved to any empty cell within ±100 on the planet map (free and without cooldown for now; the reserved 100 IRT move fee is not yet enabled). Taurus gives +20% lumber, Aries +20% refining speed, Scorpius +10% Alloy, Orion −20% Shipyard time and Draco doubles invasion rewards
- Six buildings: Starport, Barn and Defense Tower are public; Lumber Mill, Refinery and Shipyard are personal. Owned, living adult cattle work at the Lumber Mill or garrison the Tower (Tower Lv1–5 lets each member garrison 1 / 1 / 2 / 2 / 3 cattle); one cow can hold only one Sandbox job, but it is not locked out of Rangeland or Trek. Personal buildings under construction can use construction boosters (each cuts 30 minutes, 100 IRT each, burned on purchase and on use; public buildings cannot be boosted)
- Cross-game output: Barn Lv1–5 gives every planet member +2% to +10% Milk Factory hashpower. The daily milk pool is fixed, so this redistributes shares with zero issuance. The Shipyard turns matching Trek parts + Alloy (+ a blueprint at tier III) into five tiered flagship modules that take effect in Trek while held in the wallet. The Refinery can also recycle ore into IRG (Iron 1 → 4, Crystal 1 → 12, Core 1 → 32, ≤ 2,000 per address per day)
- Invasions: guild planets are attacked every day at the fixed hours 12:00 and 20:00 (UTC+8); operations can temporarily add extra on-the-hour waves (expect some during the beta). Defense = Tower base defense + Σ garrisoned cattle (attack + defense) ÷ 100; holding the line pays each garrisoned member 5–20 Alloy. Planets with neither a Barn nor Tower have newcomer protection; coordinate land is never attacked. A loss removes 30% of unclaimed Timber; three consecutive losses impose 12 hours of martial law and −20% lumber output
- Economic rule: every IRG and material cost for construction, upgrades, refining and module crafting — and the IRT for construction boosters — is burned on-chain. Timber (140) is the only new material and ore recycling is the only new IRG faucet (daily cap, same budget as Trek drops); Alloy (141) and modules (150–164) transform existing inputs. Timber, Alloy, construction boosters (142), modules and Coordinate NFTs are tradable
All output lands in the Reward Center first (one-click claim merges it into a single wallet transaction) and is then minted to your wallet; the envelope in the HUD is your mailbox and the top-left avatar is your Sandbox Profile. Building, refining, crafting modules, repelling invasions and collecting in Sandbox count toward the tenth Play XP dimension, Construction, capped at 10 XP a day (see section 5.3). Blueprint Workshop / UGC, Starport population and tax caps, and deep-space jumps belong to S6+ and are not part of the live first phase.
5. XP: the single ledger of beta contribution
5.1 Design principles
- One ledger. Playing, inviting, finding bugs or helping in the community all land on the same XP number; leaderboards and the airdrop both read it.
- Real only. Every XP entry maps to a verifiable on-chain event or server record; the history is visible on the page.
- Breadth × consistency beats cramming. Over 92 days, touching every mechanic and showing up every week is worth far more than grinding one thing in the last week.
- One real player brought in ≈ two days of serious play. Invites are valuable, but "invite only, never play" will not crush "play only, never invite".
- Rules first, no surprise changes. Published values are a promise; adjustments only apply going forward, never retroactively.
5.2 Five sources of XP
| Source | Status | In one line | Rough scale (whole beta) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Play XP | [Rolling out] | Raising, milking, fighting, breeding, guild, trading, Trek expeditions, Sandbox construction — 10 dimensions, daily caps | 80 serious days ≈ 3,000–6,000 |
| Invite XP | [Live] | Bring real players; paid in stages as the friend progresses, plus milestones | 6 valid friends ≈ 1,200; 50 ≈ 14,700 |
| Social XP | [Live] | Follow the official X, join Telegram / Discord and stay (Discord opens later; complete X and Telegram first) | 300 for all three |
| Feedback XP | [Rolling out] | Accepted reports in the forum "Bugs & Issues" category | One critical bug 400 |
| Community XP | [Rolling out] | Guides, videos, translations, helping newcomers; assessed monthly | ≤ 500 per month |
Each is explained below.
5.3 Play XP [Rolling out]
Ten dimensions per day, each capped at 10 XP, so at most 100 XP a day. Only real gameplay counts; claiming the Daily Pack earns no XP. The first eight dimensions come from Interstellar Rangeland; Expedition comes from Interstellar Trek; Construction comes from Interstellar Sandbox.
| Dimension | Action that counts | Per action | Daily cap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Milk | Claim milk income at the Milk Factory | 5 | 10 (2 claims) |
| Arena | Arena wins (PVE / Match / Ladder) | 1 | 10 (10 wins) |
| Breeding | Successful breeding at the Breeding Institute | 5 | 10 (2 breeds) |
| Raising | Feeding 1 each; raising a calf to adult +5 | 1 / 5 | 10 |
| Research | Tech upgrade, star-up or slot expansion (any) | 10 | 10 |
| Guild | Paying planet tax (automatic when claiming taxable income), Guild Battle participation | 10 | 10 |
| Quests | Completing in-game quests | 2 | 10 (5 quests) |
| Trading | NFT marketplace deal (buy or sell) | 10 | 10 |
| Expedition | Interstellar Trek battle win 2 each; first clear of an outpost +5 | 2 / 5 | 10 |
| Construction | Interstellar Sandbox build / upgrade / donation 5; refining order 2; Shipyard module 5; repelled invasion 5; Lumber Mill collection 1 | 1–5 | 10 |
Active day: a day with ≥ 20 Play XP.
Consistency factor: at final settlement your total Play XP is multiplied by √(active days ÷ 92):
| Active days | 10 | 23 | 46 | 69 | 92 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Factor | 0.33 | 0.50 | 0.71 | 0.87 | 1.00 |
The same 3,000 Play XP settles at 2,130 if earned over 46 days and at 3,000 if earned over 92. The page shows the raw value; the factor is applied once after the beta ends.
Breadth penalty: if a single dimension makes up more than 70% of your Play XP (e.g. nothing but Arena), Play XP settles at × 0.5. Touching every mechanic is, by design, the most profitable way to play.
5.4 Invite XP [Live]
Every address has a 12-character invite code and a personal link (generated the first time you open "Invite & Earn"; never changes).
| Event | Who earns | XP |
|---|---|---|
| Friend binds your code | Invitee | +30 |
| Friend bound you | Inviter | +20 |
| Friend enters the game | Inviter | +50 |
| Friend completes their first Rangeland quest or wins their first Trek battle (= valid invite) | Inviter | +100 |
| Valid invites reach 5 / 10 / 25 / 50 / 100 | Inviter | +200 / +500 / +1,500 / +4,000 / +10,000 |
One fully converted friend = 170 XP, milestones on top. If a friend never enters the game or never completes a quest, you only receive the first two stages; XP lands only when the friend actually plays.
Rules: each address can bind one inviter, permanently; you cannot use your own code or bind back the person who invited you; there is no invite cap. "Entered the game" and "valid invite" only look at Rangeland and Trek; entering Sandbox does not count yet.
5.5 Social XP [Live]
On "Invite & Earn", link your X / Telegram / Discord account, follow the official X and join the official group / server. Most of the value is in staying:
| Tier | Trigger | XP / platform |
|---|---|---|
| Joined | Confirmed following / in group after linking | +20 |
| Kept 7 days | Still there on re-check 7 days after first confirmation | +30 |
| Kept 30 days | Still there on re-check at 30 days | +50 |
| Left — clawback | Unfollowed / left on re-check | − (everything paid for that platform), task closed permanently |
All three platforms = 300 XP. One social account per platform per wallet, one wallet per social account; very new accounts, empty shells and same-network bulk linking are accepted but earn no XP. A full re-check runs before the mainnet airdrop snapshot; anyone no longer there is removed. A clawback only touches your own XP on that platform, never your inviter's.
5.6 Feedback XP [Rolling out]
Post in the forum category "Bugs & Issues" (visible only to you and admins, so nobody can exploit a bug from the thread). Accepted reports earn XP by severity; for duplicate reports the first valid one counts:
| Severity | Examples | XP |
|---|---|---|
| Minor | Typos, UI misalignment, inaccurate hints | 50 |
| Normal | Feature broken but workable around, wrong numbers displayed | 150 |
| Critical | Asset loss / double payout, failed on-chain interaction, exploitable vulnerability | 400 |
| Valuable gameplay / balance suggestion | Accepted into the release plan | 50 |
Include: which screen, how to reproduce, your wallet address (never your private key).
5.7 Community XP [Rolling out]
Assessed monthly by the team, 0–500 XP per month: guides and tutorial videos, translations, consistently answering newcomers in the forum / groups, organising community events. Results and reasons are posted on the forum.
5.8 XP levels: your title in the Star Chronicle [Live]
Levels are just a scale on top of XP — a milestone to aim for and a title to show off. Levels do not enter the airdrop calculation; only the XP number does.
| Level | Title | XP threshold | Roughly means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lv1 | Calf | 0 | Just got a code |
| Lv2 | Rancher | 300 | First real player brought in, or a serious week of play |
| Lv3 | Herder | 1,200 | 6 valid friends, or a month of steady play |
| Lv4 | Ranch Boss | 3,000 | Small community lead, or a core player present for the whole beta |
| Lv5 | Star Pioneer | 8,000 | Active promoter |
| Lv6 | Galaxy Legend | 20,000 | KOL |
| Lv7 | Cosmic Overlord | 50,000 | Top KOL, expected in single digits |
The leaderboard shows the Top 50 (ties go to whoever got there first), refreshed about once an hour.
5.9 Three players, three XP accounts
| Profile | What they did | XP breakdown | Settled XP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pure player | 80 active days, 50 Play XP a day across all 10 dimensions; follows all three platforms | 4,000 × 0.93 + 300 | ≈ 4,030 |
| Player + small community | Same, plus 6 valid friends (5-friend milestone) | 4,030 + 6 × 170 + 200 | ≈ 5,250 |
| KOL | 30 active days at 30 XP a day; 50 valid friends | 900 × 0.57 + 50 × 170 + 6,200 + 300 | ≈ 15,510 |
The KOL ends higher, but the pure player is nowhere near a rounding error — that is deliberate.
5.10 Farm level, Contribution, ladder points — none of them are XP
The game has several kinds of "score". Keep them apart from XP:
| Name | What it is | Where | Relation to XP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Farm EXP / Ranch Level (Lv1–6) | On-chain EXP from slots, breeding, raising and consumables; raises milk and battle multipliers, unlocks tech | Profile | In-game progression, not XP — but those actions do earn XP |
| Contribution | Total tax you have paid to your guild | Guild member list | Sets benefit share and Guild Battle loot tier, not XP |
| Ladder / Guild Battle points | Seasonal ranking in Arena ladders and Guild Battle | Leaderboards | Seasonal rewards, not XP |
| Guild EXP (Lv1–10) | Guild growth | Guild panel | Not XP |
| XP | Beta contribution ledger, mainnet airdrop weight | Portal "Invite & Earn" page / profile | Sections 5 and 6 |
6. How XP becomes the airdrop
6.1 The airdrop pool [Mainnet design]
| Item | Terms |
|---|---|
| Source | IRT allocation "Beta airdrop & community" 7% = 70M, of which 30,000,000 IRT (3% of supply) is the beta XP airdrop, plus game item packs |
| Share | your settled XP ÷ settled XP of all eligible addresses × 30,000,000 |
| Per-address cap | 0.3% (90,000 IRT); excess flows back and is redistributed pro rata |
| Unlock | 30% at TGE, remainder linear over 6 months |
| Items | Item packs by XP level, delivered to the in-game mailbox with the first mainnet release |
6.2 Eligibility [Mainnet design]
All of the following:
- ≥ 10 active days yourself (XP from any source still requires you to be a real player)
- At least 4 dimensions with Play XP
- Not removed by anti-abuse (section 10)
6.3 Timeline
| When | What |
|---|---|
| 2026-12-31 23:59:59 (UTC+8) | Beta ends, XP snapshot; final full re-check of social retention |
| Snapshot + 7 days | Frozen verification: consistency factor, breadth penalty, cluster decay |
| Verification + 7 days | Publication + appeals: eligible list and settled XP posted on the forum, appeals by post |
| 2027 Q1 | IGO genesis mystery box pre-sale whitelist opens, ordered by settled XP |
| Mainnet launch (2027 Q2) | Distributed at TGE, claimed on the portal "Airdrop" page; opens on the first working day of the month after the announcement, closes one week later |
6.4 A rough calculation
Take the "player + small community" at 5,250 settled XP. If total eligible XP at the end of beta is 20 million, the share = 5,250 ÷ 20,000,000 × 30,000,000 ≈ 7,875 IRT. The bigger the total, the thinner each share — so your opponent is not other players, it is whether you kept showing up.
7. Two-token economy: IRT and IRG
7.1 What each token does
| IRT | IRG | |
|---|---|---|
| Role | Hard asset, value and governance | Consumable game currency |
| Supply | 1 billion, fixed | Uncapped, issued by demand quota |
| How to earn | Milk Factory, Arena wins, season rewards, guild benefits, airdrop | Quests, PVE win chests, check-in, Interstellar Mining, Trek victory drops, Sandbox ore recycling (≤ 2,000 a day) |
| How to spend | Breeding, star-up, slots, tech, IRT items, guild fees, Federation applications, Sandbox construction boosters | Hay, the IRG share of breeding, Trek fuel and flagship upgrades, Sandbox construction / refining / module crafting |
| Beta name | TIRT | TIRG |
7.2 IRT allocation (1 billion)
| Purpose | Share | Amount | Unlock |
|---|---|---|---|
| Play-to-Earn emission pool | 38% | 380,000,000 | Released by the emission envelope year by year, designed to last ≥ 10 years |
| Beta airdrop & community | 7% | 70,000,000 | Beta airdrop 30M (30% at TGE + 6 months linear); seasons / creators 40M quarterly |
| Ecosystem & treasury | 15% | 150,000,000 | Multisig, quarterly disclosure |
| DEX liquidity | 8% | 80,000,000 | Injected at TGE, LP locked 24 months |
| Team & advisors | 15% | 150,000,000 | 12-month cliff + 36 months linear |
| Investors | 10% | 100,000,000 | 6-month cliff + 24 months linear |
| Strategic partners & marketing | 7% | 70,000,000 | By milestone |
7.3 Why it is deflationary
Three groups of mechanics are already live in the beta contracts:
- Lifespan loop [Live]: normal cattle die within 14–28 days and the NFT is burned; restocking requires breeding, which burns IRT + IRG. Breeding fees, star-up material cattle, slot expansion and IRT item purchases are all burned; items are burned on use.
- Planet tax [Live]: claiming milk and battle income pays tax — Home 20% / Frontier 10%; 70% goes to the guild treasury for benefits, 30% to the Guild Battle pool.
- Sandbox sinks [Live on Sepolia]: public donations, personal construction and upgrades, refining and flagship-module crafting burn every accepted IRG and material amount on-chain; construction boosters are bought with IRT and burned again on use — the first channel where IRT entering Sandbox is destroyed. The Barn only redistributes a fixed Milk Factory pool; it does not mint additional rewards, and IRG from ore recycling is capped daily and shares the Trek drop budget.
Four mechanics that take effect with mainnet [Mainnet design]:
| Mechanic | Rule |
|---|---|
| Emission envelope | Daily P2E emission = base envelope + 40% × 7-day burn, capped at 2×; year-1 base 90,000 IRT / day, × 0.75 every year. No burn, no extra emission; more burn, more emission — but always less than what was burned |
| Three-way tax split | Tax rate moves to 10–15%, split 50% guild benefits / 20% Guild Battle pool / 30% protocol burn |
| One-way forge | IRG shortfalls can only be filled by burning IRT to mint IRG (1 : 100, irreversible) — every IRG deficit becomes an IRT burn |
| Buyback & burn | ≥ 50% of USDT revenue from IGO, Cattle Mart, skins and marketplace fees buys back and burns IRT monthly by TWAP; addresses and transactions are published |
On mainnet every item and cost is indexed to "S", the standard daily income of one cow: what one day of milk can buy stays the same at any token price. Beta numbers exist to calibrate this model, so they may change at any time; the current announcement prevails.
8. Core NFT assets
| Asset | Standard | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Cattle | ERC-721 | Genesis / normal, bull / cow, 0–3 stars; the carrier for raising, milking, fighting and breeding |
| Planets | ERC-721 | Home / Federation / Frontier; carries leadership and tax rights; only 100 Home planets on mainnet |
| Mystery boxes | ERC-721 | Cattle box (guaranteed from breeding: 90% calf / 9.99% shards / 0.01% Genesis), IGO genesis box, skin box, N–UR chests |
| Items | ERC-1155 | Hay, EXP cards, STR batteries, HP potions, rename cards, pass cards and more |
| Trek items | ERC-1155 | Dropped in Interstellar Trek: ore (110 – 112), blueprints (120 – 124), ship parts (130 – 134, burned when upgrading the flagship) |
| Sandbox items | ERC-1155 | Timber (140), Alloy (141), Construction Booster (142), and tier I–III Engine / Armor / Cabin / Navigation / Weapon Rack flagship modules (150–164) |
| Star Coordinates | ERC-721 | Transferable constellation coordinates minted after lighting that constellation in Trek (one per constellation per address); each opens one private 12×12 Sandbox plot and can be viewed and transferred from the portal wallet |
| Skins / Badges | ERC-721 | Skins change the battle look and add stats; badges mounted in the Milk Factory raise hashpower |
| Avatars / Vouchers | ERC-721 | Avatars issued automatically at birth / adulthood; vouchers redeemed at the portal Voucher Center |
All odds are published; there are no hidden tables. Marketplace fee 2%; adult normal cattle cannot be listed.
9. Roadmap
Ordering logic: the shared cattle and assets come first; the three games now validate one connected economy before mainnet; S6+ follows the proven first-phase Sandbox loop.
| When | Milestones | Why here |
|---|---|---|
| 2026 Q4 | Website 2.0 · Contracts on Sepolia · Interstellar Rangeland open beta relaunch · Interstellar Trek and Interstellar Sandbox public beta · AI battle agent CowGalaxy Play (Telegram) launched · Sandbox planet map / mail / construction boosters · Community relaunch (X / Discord / Telegram) · Guild Advancement Program | The same cattle now produce in Rangeland, conquer in Trek and build in Sandbox, validating the complete cross-game loop before mainnet; the agent proves the "authorized restricted session" model in Trek first, with Rangeland / Sandbox to follow the same pattern |
| 2027 Q1 | Beta ends, XP settlement and airdrop list published · Mainnet contract upgrades and security audit · IGO genesis mystery box pre-sale (whitelist priority to top-XP players) | IGO before mainnet: it mints the first Genesis cattle and puts the first USDT into the buyback pool. Top-XP players get the whitelist — a second reward for beta contribution beyond the airdrop |
| 2027 Q2 | TGE and beta XP airdrop · Mainnet launch, Arbitrum first · Everything from the beta opens on mainnet (NFT marketplace, Guild Battle and Federation planets, Voucher Center, friends and planet social) · IRT / IRG mining and staking · IGO public sale | Airdrop on the same day as TGE honours "distributed at mainnet launch"; L2 first keeps gas from being a barrier for newcomers; features already proven in beta are not split into milestones |
| 2027 Q3 | Contracts on Ethereum mainnet + Ethereum ⇄ Arbitrum bridge · Second community and season airdrop · Online tournaments · More gaming guilds and Web3 partnerships · Evaluate Sandbox S6+ (Blueprint Workshop / UGC, population and tax caps, deep-space jumps) | L1 and the bridge ship together so assets never split into two islands; Sandbox S6+ is scoped only after S1–S4 public-beta data validates the first-phase loop |
10. Anti-abuse and fairness
XP is only worth something if every point is a real person really playing, so anti-abuse rules are written into the ledger from day one:
| Measure | Rule |
|---|---|
| Same-network farming | Invitee shares a network the inviter used within 30 days, or the network already has 3 scoring binds within 30 days → relationship is recorded, neither side earns XP (page shows "not scored") |
| Bulk alts | ≤ 3 addresses per network per 24 hours; airdrop share of a cluster decays by 1 ÷ cluster size |
| Social shells | X < 30 days old, Discord < 14 days, low followers and never posted: linked but no XP |
| Single-track grinding | Play XP capped per dimension per day; one dimension > 70% settles at × 0.5 |
| Cramming | Consistency factor √(active days ÷ 92) |
| Claim and leave | Social XP fully clawed back and task closed; full re-check before snapshot |
| Scripts / bots | Bot matches do not count as valid wins; addresses running scripts are removed as a whole cluster and published |
| Official AI agent | CowGalaxy Play is a restricted session you authorize with a wallet signature that can only fight: it burns your own fuel and settles exactly like playing yourself, so it is not a script; keys can carry a daily limit and be revoked at any time. Unauthorized automation is still treated as a script |
| Appeals | List published for 7 days; appeal by forum post; the team replies to each |
11. FAQ
11.1 Beta and assets
Can I make real money during the beta? No. Testnet TIRT / TIRG have no value and do not migrate. What you earn in beta is XP; IRT is distributed by XP at mainnet launch.
Will the beta be reset? To calibrate the economy, numbers may be tuned and some testnet data reset; the XP ledger is never wiped by that.
11.2 XP and the airdrop
I just want to play, not recruit. Will my XP be low? No. A pure player who plays the whole beta seriously ends around 4,000 XP — the equivalent of 20-plus valid friends. Invites are a bonus, not a gate.
I'm a KOL with little time to play. Can I get the airdrop on invites alone? Invite XP accrues as normal, but eligibility requires ≥ 10 active days and at least 4 dimensions with Play XP — roughly playing once or twice a week and touching the main mechanics.
My invitee doesn't play. Do I lose anything? No. You simply don't receive the last two stages (+50 / +100); what has landed is never deducted.
Why can Social XP be clawed back? Following / joining is meant to keep you in the community. Claim-and-leave claws back everything on that platform and closes the task permanently; it only affects you, not your inviter.
If I hit Farm Level 6 or top the ladder, will my XP be huge? Those are in-game progression and seasonal rewards, not XP directly. But every slot expansion, breed and win you do along the way earns Play XP under 5.3.
When does the airdrop arrive? Snapshot at beta end → 7 days verification → 7 days publication and appeals → distributed at mainnet TGE (30% immediately, remainder linear over 6 months), claimed on the portal "Airdrop" page.
Where can I see my XP history? Portal "Open Beta → Invite & Earn" (invite and social entries are live; play, feedback and community entries appear as tracking is switched on).
11.3 The three games
Do I need new cows for Interstellar Trek? No. Log in to trek.cowgalaxy.com with the same wallet and any living adult cow can fight; fuel regenerates about 100 a day and can be topped up with IRG. See section 4.2; Trek wins and first clears count toward the Expedition dimension of play XP.
Can an AI fight Interstellar Trek for me? Does it count toward my XP? Yes. Bind your Telegram and create an agent key in the portal profile page "Agent Authorization", then open the official bot CowGalaxy Play and "Summon the AI"; it fights with your cattle and your fuel and streams the battle to Telegram. Stars, drops and Expedition XP are exactly the same as fighting yourself; it can only fight — claims, mail, flagship upgrades and every on-chain action still need your wallet signature, and the key can be revoked at any time.
What can I do in Interstellar Sandbox, and does it earn XP? Use the same wallet at sandbox.cowgalaxy.com to build on guild or Coordinate NFT land, assign cattle, refine or recycle Trek ore, craft flagship modules and defend guild planets; the "Planet" map shows the whole guild's land and lets you visit other members' plots. Building, refining, crafting modules, repelling invasions and collecting in Sandbox count toward the tenth Play XP dimension, Construction, capped at 10 XP a day.
Do construction boosters cost money? Yes. Construction boosters (item 142) are bought in the Sandbox "Speed up construction" dialog at the live on-chain price (currently 100 IRT each, IRT burned on mint); each one cuts the remaining build time of a personal building by 30 minutes and is burned again on use; public buildings cannot be boosted. They can also arrive as mail attachments and can be traded on the market. The beta uses TIRT, so no real money is involved.
12. Disclaimer and changes
- This is a player-facing explainer, not investment advice. IRT / IRG are in-game utility tokens; price is set by the market.
- Content tagged [Mainnet design] takes effect with the mainnet contracts and is confirmed by official announcement before distribution; published XP values are never adjusted retroactively — any change applies only to behaviour after the announcement.
- Beta numbers may be tuned or reset at any time; the current announcement prevails.
- Keep your private keys safe for all on-chain actions; the team will never ask for a seed phrase or private key.
